BUTSUDANS

This is the cabinet in which the Buddha image is housed and is offered in in several styles and sizes:

The Simple Butsudan is offered in three sizes, small, medium and large, it may be painted (usually black or dark brown) or is stained to customer request. It can be furnished with bi-fold doors or may be lighted. One Butsudan is available as a floor model. It features compartments for items such as storage for Zafus, incense, candles, Sutra cards and other supplies.

This Butsudan
is designed to sit on the altar or table OR it may be hung on the wall. It is smaller by design and construction and is therefore less expensive. It is designed with single hung doors rather than the normal bi-fold doors. It is offered in three sizes. Wood colors are optional or paint. It can be fitted for lighting for an additional charge.

The Intricate Butsudan
is very ornate. Shown below is a Thai/Chinese version of a Butsudan cabinet, a copy of an antique found in a temple located in Washington State. This item is only available by custom order; size and color are determined at time of order. It should be pointed out that this piece is very costly.
